You buy a few antique doorknobs on ebay and next thing you know the seller is dming you their phone number begging you to text them to discuss adding a bunch of sash locks into the package for free and to arrange an offsite purchase of more doorknobs

The first needs a bit more grey, second is perfect, third was intentionally darker than what i was recreating, the last one needs a grey wash for the top few skeins to be a perfect teal for me so i consider it all pretty successful!

Yeah those ones are so obviously fake! This one is an American shipping from ny, but i think maybe she got conned by one of those indian listings and is trying to flip it but not being direct about what it is

Theres one piece i’m looking at thats 18ct and one thats 9ct, the 9 is cheap and has really pretty details so I might go for it anyway. The ebay pieces were like $1000 and had vague descriptions that jumped between calling it antique and then “antique-style”

I’m on the hunt for a georgian era/early Victorian ring and it is dire on there.
