01.10.2025 13:44 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0There is no doubt in my mind that the AI "actress" news we have been inundated with over the last few days comes from someone insignificant, latching onto an idea for relevance, and we will never hear from either of them ever again.
The trade presses just gobble that shit right up.
Yes.

Dr. Grant is about that praxis.
Mad respect.
Soon.

You just want your violence to feel justified by your politics.
it's in the 40s here in Vermont.
time to put on flannel and look at trees while listening to bon iver.
I am so so so proud to have been part of this effort.
Climate change is already a major threat to human life, health, and thriving. It is important that we get the most accurate science on the record to delineate that threat, so we can build a better future.

"Professor Sanchez described Homeland Securityβs display of the painting as βmemeifying famous art (which is perceived as βtraditionalβ) to promote white racial attitudes (also perceived as βtraditionalβ).β
Hey, I don't sound stupid, either!
"James Sanchez, who teaches writing and rhetoric at Middlebury College, said, βusing this painting to promote a defense of βheritageβ and βhomeland,β both of which are dog whistle terms, asks the audience to interpret who is βscurryingβ away from the Trump administration and whose heritage matters.β

I'm teaching Documentary Rhetorics this semester, and I am trying to focus more on the history of the form.
I'm teaching these two films in my first three classes and am STOKED
Thank you all for the love and support. It means the world to us. And it means the world to Hilary, pictured below, who has been with us on this journey since August 2019. She cannot wait to share her truths.
And I *cannot* wait to stop fundraising, ha!
You all have made our dreams possible.
And with just 33 hours left, we are doing one final push to get us to 100%.
We have had so many $5, $10, and $20 donations over the past few days that have led us to just a few inches away from 90% of our goal; just a few dollars helps.
With a big push over the last few days, we are now just $285 from 90% of our goal, and another $5,000 from 100% of our goal!
During the ebbs and flows of this campaign, sometimes even get to 90% of our goal felt daunting, so THANK YOU for getting us this far.

So keep sharing the fundraiser with folks--every little bit helps.
This story is so important and *YOU ALL* are helping us tell it!
We hit a benchmark of being 80% funded today for the In Loco Parentis fundraiser.
That means we have raised and secured over $40,000! WE ARE GREEN LIT!
We still have three days left and want to get as close to 100% as possible.
We are only $125 away from 80%!!!
Who wants to be the *lucky* person that ensures we keep this funding?!

They are damning!
Thank you for considering a donation! I cannot wait to bring this film you.

It turns out, these documents were not sealed; rather, they had just been "lost" for awhile.
These documents become some of the most important evidence in the film and are vital to seeing how administrators think.
A lawyer associated with this case had tried to get these documents for years but couldn't get them.
Through luck, I found someone at an archive who was willing to go pull these boxes and makes copies of *every single document* in them.
One of my favorite research "wins" for this project came with a bit of luck.
For years, I had heard of a few court cases from the 1990s that were sealed. Those court cases had depositions from alleged predators, letters and other primary documents admitting to the cover ups, and more.
Y'all: We are just $985 from our 80% goal of $40,000! We are so close!
With 4.5 days left in the campaign, I thought I would share 5 reasons why this film could use your support. 1/day.
Reason 1: The depth of our investigation is unparalleled when it comes to sexual abuse in boarding schools.

Yo!
We are just 6% away from our fundraising goal. 6% ensures we *keep* the money raised.
This close to the finish line every dollar adds up, so please donate even $5 if you can!

I can't wait for the "content" bubble to burst--studios need to realize art is worth more than just buys for awards shows
