On Jan 6, right after the attack on the Capitol, and something like 137 Rs still challenged the electoral votes, I knew we were in big trouble. They were hiding and running to safety and then still tried to overthrow the election. And DT’s power is because of them.

I actually think the behavior of the Republicans in the audience has been more noteworthy than Trump’s speech itself.

@jvl.bsky.social was noting that the public wants to balance the budget by cutting foreign aid, which was around 1% of federal spending.

This is such limited, pre-2025 thinking. Trump could cut foreign aid by 5,000% or 6,000%, many people are saying 12,000%, and balance the whole budget this year.

Healthcare in Greenland is publicly funded, free at the point of use, and despite geographical challenges considered very good.

Healthcare costs in the USA are extortionate and responsible for 60% of all US bankruptcies.

So maybe Denmark should be sending hospital ships the other way.

Thank you to Greenland for providing emergency medical care to a US sailor on board the submarine, since we did not have adequate resources in the area to treat him. I’m sorry that our president felt the need to cover up our shortcomings with a deranged ghost hospital ship post.
