Hello! My studio (Wildflower Interactive) had a large layoff today, including myself and others. I am a game designer with 10 years in the industry across every aspect of the discipline: levels, systems, gameplay, puzzles and quests. If anyone knows a lead on an open positon, please send it my way!

I should also specify I'm open to anything: contract, project based, or full time. Great thing about me is I'm flexible.

Specifically I'm looking to do any of the following:

* Sound Design for Game Dev, Animation or Film
* Music Composition for the same
* Percussion Recording, I'd like to record some Timpani, Drumset, or other percussion for folks who need it! I'd love to help out some other composers.

Wildflower had a large layoff today, I don't know exactly how many but it's a good chunk of the studio. I am one of those that lost their jobs today. I'm gonna take a few days to settle and then I'll be looking for something new. I'd appreciate any leads you might here about!

I am very much enjoying the story so far

I started play Expedition 33 as part of some research on the loudness of modern games. I'm having a good time so far but I'm continually getting a strong sense of uncanny valley. Am I the only one or is this a common thing?

I was having an issue with one of my albums just not being accessible on their site. I needed to make some changes and it would just hang forever. I waited a year on support before I just pulled it down as that was the only button that actually worked.

Today, it's 21 years since that titan of film and television scoring, Jerry Goldsmith, passed away. He was stunning in his technique, range, prolificness, and cinematic intelligence. His music could in one moment be abrasive, and in another, gorgeous. Here are my favourites of his.

PUMODI FUN FACT! Did you know I used to play Competitive TF2? One year I got to represent the Reddit TF2 community in the Tumblr vs Reddit showmatch. I played for the west coast team as a Heavy. Was a great time and we dominated (our team was stacked)

Tower Wizard by Barribob Construct the mightiest wizard tower!

For years I've been toying with this idea for an idle game called 'Arcane Sanctum' where you play as a wizard reading books to gain arcane knowledge and become more powerful. I've not had time to start messing with it and of course someone beats me to the idea: barribob.itch.io/tower-wizard

This is a reason why you should always bring a handy recorder with you ready to go. Got woken up at 6am by a Crop Duster flying by the house I was staying at this past weekend. Was quick enough on the draw to get my D100 set up and recorded about 7 minutes of pass bys.
