You know what I do instead of hiring beta readers? I ask my friends if they have the time and mental capacity to devote to my latest WIP. I trust their opinion over anyone else's. The stories I write are MINE. They are written because I couldn't find a story like it anywhere.

Writing consists of picking your brain for a story. Crying because you don't have one. Searching tiktok and pinterest out of boredom. Finding inspiration. Writing until you cry some more. Procrastinating because it sucks. Finishing. Crying some more. Fin

My writing process is not really a process but a routine my adhd/autistic self developed over the years. I sorta plot in a notebook. I come up with names for the main characters. Then I start writing from chapter one. I procrastinate and then write. Repeat that last step until its done.

Depression, honestly. I had just found a band that inspired me after I had the worst career year of my life. The main male character is based off the singer of Ghost. Without his creativity and awesomeness, I wouldn't be here. :)
