Demon Baby headcanons:
- Shark teeth

- Can learn simple habits very quickly

I'd like to headcanon that noble demons have the most absurd and frivolous practices and traditions. I'm talking hundreds of oil paintings of cute memories, the fanciest toys you've ever seen, fencing lessons the day they can hold a tiny sword, private baby food chef, etc.

Mephisto and Dia were once babies, but that's not always the norm for demons. Even Barbatos is confirmed to have never been a child, so knowledge on caring for the very rare presence of a natural born demon infant would probably be very precious and honorable.
This opens a whole new world of ideas.

It's a really funny and fun chapter of his afterlife that let's me delve into more world-building of my own based on as much canon as I can gather.
The former angels will definitely have different feelings about caring for something so small and fragile, in comparison to the demon's experience.

So after a couple decades (not long at all for demons) Swift comes home and is back to his old self, but much more demonic in appearance. It takes a very long time for the others to break some of their habits from babysitting him.
Beel still tries to hand feed him a lot but Swift just goes with it.

Once Swift begins retaining new memories and his old sense of self slowly starts recouperating, he's already at the walking and speaking stages, so the cast decides it would be best to send him to boarding school for the long term.
Swift is lonely a lot, but this phase doesn't last too long.

Surprisingly easy to potty train and being very strong, they're capable of holding things to feed themselves, but fine motor skills remain difficult so
demon babies still need a lot of assistance and caring for.
Swift is also a particularly small fledgling, so he gets carried around quite a bit.

Demon babies go through a ton of teeth like sharks, because this early stage of development can last a surprisingly long time (200 years is not unheard of before a demon baby begins walking)...so teef marks will be everywhere.

His legal guardian would HAVE to be Barbatos, because the cast of characters with experience caring for another sentient life is actually quite small.
Everyone would have to take turns babysitting.
Fortunately, blob Swift sleeps 20 hours a day and this makes him easy to care for.

But also!!! I need to finish a reference for awesome cool grown up Swift Demon Form because I have ideas...Ideasssss.....

I haven't quite decided yet what any romance options would look like once Swift has actually grown up into a fully fledged demon, because I'm not *super* into ocxoc but I can burn that bridge when I get to it.

Swift does not have a happy mortal life or a peaceful death, but he fights *hard* for a second chance, even if it means giving up paradise forever. Even if it means...being a baby again...or knowing that Lucifer had an EMBARRASSING album of baby photos hidden somewhere...lol

Demon teenagers having extremely unpredictable magical powers that get stronger ever day, combined with mod swings? Oh no...
Anyway, baby swift is raised mostly by Barb around the Demon Lord's castle, and then they do their awkward years off at some academy, before coming back home as a young adult.

But I also headcanon demons as aging at their own personal rates, so who knows how long it takes demon Swift to grow up. Maybe he stays at that perfect adorable toddler age for 200 years and then speedruns his teens as fast as possible xD

Logistically, they probably lose a lot of their memories and consciousness during the first 4-5 years until new memories can start being formed. Which is fine, because nanny Barbie changing you would be pretty embarrassing lmao

Swift accidentally opened that book that turns you 2 years old [I forget which lesson it was mentioned in NB], and while everyone is caring for them and being silly per usual, they realize they missed out on everything good in life.

Having a toddler screaming contest with Levi. Crude crayon drawings of the crimes the younger brothers have committed throughout the day. Drowning and getting lost in the literal hundreds of gifted stuffed toys. Other inappropriate gifts like cursed weapons and Baby's First Poisonous Alchemy Kit.

Sleeping on Dia's big warm chest. Asmo dressing baby demon up in cute ridiculous clothes. Satan reading them questionable bedtime stories that he loved in his youth. Mammon being like those big brothers who play wrestle until you're screaming with laughter.

Toddling up to Dia or Luci when baby demon wants something and getting picked up like a sack of potatoes. Biting belphie's tail. Chewing on Levi's controllers. Beel carrying the demon baby in a chest harness for snack runs. Playing itty bitty tea time with Barb and Mephi.
