meant to know that’s what a customer wants when that’s the exact opposite of the kind of service every company pushes? it’s just ridiculous. i cannot possibly know your every whim as a service worker.

a very weird entitlement when it comes to service workers. I do think she’s gotten better as i and my mother have criticized her, but for example she once told me that the ‘more a waiter checks on her’ that the less she’ll tip them because ‘it annoys her.’ how the fuck as a service worker are you-

it’s unfortunately true tho. the vast majority of my shitty experiences (including the genuinely traumatizing ones such as being aggressively slut shamed by a woman to the point where other customers were telling her to f off) were by boomers. and honestly?? even my grandma whom i love to death has

most service employees get paid poorly and don’t receive proper benefits. The companies are also part responsible - I used to get called horrific names for not helping customers in the self serve printers at Staples meanwhile my manager had threatened to write us up if we were caught helping there.

i genuinely do not understand how some of the normal people i was friends w in high school have pivoted to cruel bully energy in the past couple of years it’s so odd

we should not be set up to fail like this tbh. it makes me so angry

been beating myself up for 6 months over being unemployed but maybe i am not actually the problem since my age range (18-25) has the highest unemployment rate in the country where i live lol

shocker that the customer base you built over years was the same one who’s rights you decided weren’t actually worth that much
