Excellent method!

It's a good drill to see how fast you can get. Each time pick a different quadrant to herd their King to.

A good K+P technique to convert mate without stalemating. It may not be the fastest mate, but it's an easy one to remember in time trouble.
Set up the position and practice against the computer until you get it memorized.

I have the same issue with playing on my phone. Not sure if it's vision or less focus. But, I try to avoid it... unless I'm just playing mindlessly to pass time.

What's your ratio of study to playing #chesspunks? I buy courses and I guess try to learn by osmosis because I just play when I have time and not study. Trying to change that. 😂

Yeah, my coaches generally agreed 15/10 was a good minimum time control. Which I agree with. I know the Chess Dojo curriculum stressed longer classical games. I think my best gains came when I was doing at least one rapid game a day and one classical game per week.

I have always been on the study too much and play too little side. John Bartholomew once told me that's common for adult improves...and the opposite is common for young players. As I get back into playing after a long break, my goal is to reverse it and spend more time playing games. We'll see.

Not to brag...but I'm really good at this game. 😂
