Arixmethes, Slumbering Isle is the main commander I use in my Simic Deck. Definitely has some Macro potential there.

And Ubisoft support still couldn't help me get my $100 back, and the game was still unplayable, so I had spent $100 on in-game currency for a game that I couldn't access. Overall a very bad first time interacting with Ubisoft games and I've tried to avoid them since.

So, the reason I regretted buying Immortals Fenyx Rising is because I bought it not realizing that I had to create an Ubisoft account to play it on the PS3. I also found the menu so confusing I accidentally charged my card $100 and still couldn't play the game. Had to contact Ubisoft support.

This is honestly reminding me of the Not So Awesome document too and how it spent so much time waffling about minor grievances and the management not communicating or not being as professional as an actual production company when we know they were all amateurs.

They claim that they want to do it for things the people *actually* did but then they go and make stuff up to get mad at anyway

This is why I'm not trusting google doc fallout posts again. There was one made against my friend, now I've seen one against Patricia that was a load of bunk and now this too-- people have to go into these things with some skepticism!

The kiwifarms source straight up admitted to making it all up and faking the screenshot! This is yet another reason I do not trust that site.

And especially never gave any thought to why these laws exist! They seem to have just seen Chris Hansen or other pedohunter content and assumed it's as simple as, "an 18 year old has a crush on a 16 year old", he should be locked up!

It really feels like this doc was made by someone not emotionally or developmentally mature enough to understand what kind of accusations are serious or not. And also just straight up doesn't understand the law when it comes to these things.

All of the people involved in this seem to be between the ages of 16 and 21 at the time. All else is just moral quibbling about the teenagers not understanding what plagiarism is or kink, or more serious accusations about people who arent even part of this at all but i guess one of the guys defended

...And think its as simple as "if an 18 year old talks to a 16 year old about crushes or sex or fetishes, then he broke the law and is a criminal disgusting perv" when like: that's not the legal reality of any of this.

To get a little more into MD law on this: our age of consent is 16 to have sex with people up to age 20. Anything is fair game after 18 as it is for most of the country. So none of the doc is actually alleging anything illegal. Most of these are just again teens who don't know what the law is.

Which gets to another problem with the whole document: its not actually keeping track of ages or the age gaps, just treating the 17-18 split as a hard line and any crossover as inherently abusive when its clear these people were acting this way when they were 17 themselves, probably younger.

So theres definitely Mark Romo approaching minors in DMs and being frisky with them, (pg 41,)but the thing they're overlooking is that the date on those pages is november 2021 and Romo was born oct 2003. so he was an 18y1m old talking this way with a 16 year old, something legal in my state (MD).

I have a friend who keeps becoming the subject of harassment from what they call "Puriteens" at conventions, and this all feels very much related to that same sort of group.

This is becoming an increasingly uncomfortable subject for me to be discussing with ya.

But really, I don't need to. I'm still just a stranger looking at all this stuff which still feels to me like a bunch of people much younger than me stumbling around and figuring themselves out. The natural sort of social growing pains around this subject.

well, that's news to me. I'm gonna delete the other comment I made then about this looking okay when you have more perspective. that's a bigger gap. he should have known better. Then again, I dunno how "soft" the core was in that pic either.

That's a consequence that came out of society trying to put a hard boundary on something that's fuzzy and when you're close to it, it really doesn't make sense. I dont fault the people going through that and am glad I wasn't online enough when I was that age to get tripped up by it myself.

Well even then, I don't fault people around that age for being really confused by "its okay for a 16yo and a 17yo to play online boyfriend-girlfriend", same for a 18yo and a 19yo, but a 17yo and an 18yo is worth arresting that 18yo and making sure he can never have a social life again.

Oh boy howdy, do I believe you. I look at this and it certainly doesn't look like a section of the community I'd wanna be in, all the folks look like they're all knives-out at each other all the time.

That's all it takes to make these kinds of bad interactions commonplace because the 14-17yos are just becoming aware of what arouses them and wanna discuss it, and the 18-21yos won't really understand why or how they have power in that situation over the other group that makes the dynamic harmful.

I find it somewhat frustrating to focus on the autistic side of the community as being a source of why the boundaries arent great and not just leaving as its an online forum where you have 14-17 year olds discussing cartoons and art with 18-21 year olds without age segregation.

A lot of these points feel like the people in this community are not acting like adults who use adult language and engage with adult material, and instead are themselves like kids trying to get another kid in trouble with the teacher because he said a bad word.

which is, again, secondhand stuff that I would approach with some skepticism. You need to open the document with the smoking gun and not get bogged down in all this irrelevant minutia that's honestly pretty mundane internet behavior.
