The hat has come off

Just a bit paranoid about keeping Nananji safe, Reliq creates at one degree of separation between them by using the linkpearl network he's already setup with his retainers.
Should he or Nananji need to communicate, the retainers can pass the message along and are paid for their service.

As tempted as I am to say Literature, History, or P.E., I think Reliq would most enjoy Theatre class the most—not as a performer but a member of the set crew.

He would get to design, budget, and build cool props, but also savor seeing others do wonderful things with whatever he helped create.

Ooo, Gleaningtide could work!

Perhaps another "-tide" holiday so it mirrors Hatchingtide?
Reapingtide could work, but it sounds a little bleak....

I've been toying with various names this holiday might go by but still haven't decided.
Marton's Rest and Scythe's Fall are my two favorites right now, but I'm hoping something more interesting springs to mind.

He hasn't been able to celebrate it lately, but Reliq loves his home's yearly harvest celebration.
Outside the carousing and merry-making, Reliq adored the ritual dance and lighting the bonfire of the chaff, an offering to the Matron.
When able, he'll build a small fire and dance by himself.

I guess you could in one of the Wolves' Den Pier fighting zones? 🤔
A lot of killing happens on the Fields of Glory and such, but no one actually dies.

Or Heirdon killing, just so that's clear.

Some quality aura farming gposes, sure. Maybe dip into sillier forms of competing. Just so long as there's no wife killing.

While initially slow to open up and trust others, Reliq can be a bit overbearing toward those he comes to love.

He'll regularly offer physical affection, give praise, and is eager to cater to any need. He also has a bad habit of hovering if there isn't something else to distract him.

Just so long as the rest of that meme doesn't happen. 🙏

Hmmm, am I proud of Reliq?

As a thing I have made? Yes. I've gotten more story ideas from him than most of my other OCs.

As an individual? Yes. He's been through a lot and is still managing to make it through all as a fairly good person.

So, I guess the answer is just a resounding "YES!"

Reliq was raised on the caravan guards' tales of derring-do, his father's accounts of distant lands, and the desire to one day be the caravan lead.
In the way only children can, he aspired to have all three. He'd be a wandering merchant lord, the heroic slayer of bandits and purveyor of fine goods.

Eh, most would call it cope, but I say there's always hope.
If a relatively no name title I adore like El Shaddai can get a remaster, I see no reason Asura's Wrath couldn't.

The DLC nonsense was pretty awful. Even so, I still liked the Saturday Morning cartoon-esque episodic structure and unique gameplay gimmicks.

Excellent choice for a cosplay. That game dripped with style.

During the day, Reliq fully opens and the library he operates.

Any visitors get some candy and regulars are allowed a free baked treat from the cafe. If any kids show up, he'll even do some spooky story readings.

At night, he strolls the neighborhood with Nananji and pops in at a party or two.

From the candy they received from others? Absolutely not.

Reliq will, however, gladly snag anything that's leftover that the trick-or-treaters or library visitors didn't take.
He paid for them. Might as well eat them.
