It’s not yet 7am, but the train is now so packed that we’re shoulder to shoulder.

A padded bag is protectively being held between my feet, like a baby lion cub. Inside, is a 4.56 billion year asteroid fragment.

Flash memory of being about 5 years old and going to my female cousin's birthday party. As a gift, I remember bringing along a child's umbrella with horse-and-cart design. I recall how the sepia and pink colours made me feel melancholic, and how my auntie enthused about the old-fashioned print.

Every night you wake up and find yourself slowly drifting upward from your bed towards the ceiling. You roll over and pull yourself down to your mattress. Your arms and legs cling to it, as if grabbing hold of the underside of a falling elevator.

Every morning you wake up with no memory of this.

Had a bit of space in the flask to cast some grasshopper parts, so here is the first bronze test assembly! 🔬🛠️ All the bits: labium, labrum, clypeus, maxillae, labial and maxillary palps, mandibles… You can’t see the teeth of his mandibles when they’re in place, but they’re there 🤓 #invertebrate
