The complete sketchbook page. Portrait exercises with gouache and water-soluble pencils/ neocolor II/ color pencils. I think just gouache with some very sharp color pencils for tiny and precise details is the way to go, according to my observations during these experiments. #art

Last one is gouache with some color pencils on top (polychromos and supracolors). With this, I've completed the whole page and learned a couple tricks that will come super handy for my professional works. #art

I've been having fun sketching some faces with color pencils lately. #art 😁

Pen drawing that is mostly black and white focused on a humanoid figure with many different organic growths coming out of their back that contain eyes, while the upper part of their face is covered by a solid plate that has the skin of the lower part of the face connected to it by rivets. The rest of their body is covered by strange techno-organic growths and in the background is another figure reclining and holding their hands above their head into the arched walls that frame the scene. The surrounding area makes an oval portal like shape that filled with a yellowish hue and a number of orange ringed elongated eye like shapes with white centers with black filaments.

Pen drawing of a vaguely humanoid shape facing the user with a "face" made up of black void and stars crisscrossed by lightning. This "face" is surrounded by a body of metal that is rounded and organic in appearance with glowing orbs embedded in it while several thick tendrils made up a black material come out of its back by the shoulders and flow up out of view against the coffee coloured background. An arch of material behind it suggests a chair while devices off to the lower right suggest controls.

Pen drawing that fills the page with faces, some more realized than others and fleshy emerging from a twisted textured wall made up of small details with some that look like ancient metal, others of organic shapes and others bits and pieces of scrap that have been used together into a solid mass.

Pen drawing of a cosmic being with purplish-blue gems of various sizes arrayed as a face inside a large concentric oval headdress the flowing into a thin, 4 armed body that has a stone like, almost fossil texture. All around it are fragments of rock and large, cosmic scale structures arcing around in the background with a blue, orange and purple sky.

Decorated towers with figures on top while in the distance, while beings of light loom large in the lower right corner of the page set against a dirty brownish/yellow hazy sky.

Dominating this scene is a feminine figure in a squatting position whose lower torso, legs and hands also flow into the organic shapes. Her chest is bound by an iron bar with large rivets while her head is covered by a metallic globe with a singular eye in the center while metal tentacles emerge from her back. The enormous scale of her form is illustrated by silhouetted forms in the foreground along with various technological devices and wires

The overall effect is like a carved relief in black and white ink with faces peering out above and below the eye while there are branches, stone and vine like structures flowing around the eye.

In the background, lounging on the ground or on a pillar amount he strange organic shapes while in the background are stone structures that appear to be a temple like complex with a large circular structure that looks to be plugged into the large stylized skulls below it.
