El Paso airport shut down for 10 days. Nobody was warned. Not even the military. FAA says it involves GPS jamming exercises covering 600 miles of Texas. City councils are scrambling. Army scrambling. Even military flights don't know if they're grounded.

Pilot wanting to land in El Paso, TX earlier tonight was told that there can be no departures or landings for TEN days.

Now being reported on all national channels, but no reason is being given.

FAA states that the flight restrictions are for Special Security Reasons. No further information.

That should say "flights in the airspace".

The airspace over El Paso, TX and Las Cruces, NM has been halted for the next ten days. This includes Fort Bliss. Does anyone know what's going on?
