"Are you okay?" "I'm fine. I promise." Draco said. "You're not. Don't lie to me." Hermione said, while giving him a look. Draco sighed, "It's my baby sister. Our father was supposed to pick her up from our house and they were supposed to do stuff but that plan fell through" "Yikes. That sucks." Hermione said. "Mhm. So now I promised her that I'd come get her and we'd hang out." A small smile toyed on Hermione's lips. "Why are you smiling? Hm? What are you thinking?" "Why don't we go pick her up together? I mean what's the harm in that?" Hermione wondered. "Let's see she's 15 and she's a brat." Draco rolled his eyes. "Oh come on Draco. I'm sure it won't be that bad." Hermione said. Lacing their fingers together, Draco spoke, "Fine but when she asks all sorts of questions about your music and about you, don't say I didn't warn you." Hermione let out a soft chuckle, "You do realize my fan base is mostly and I say mostly teens?" "Right."

(December 18th,2009) Ever since she ran into Draco nearly 10 years ago in rural London, she always knew that they were meant to be together as well. What she didn't account for was for them to have taken in Draco's cousin, Teddy Lupin. While she knew it was for the best, both her and Draco knew it was what Andromeda wanted since she had gotten older in age and she needed help and ultimately asked Hermione and Draco if they would take Teddy as their own. "Mummy!" A four year old Teddy Lupin Malfoy Black yelled. "Hi my sweet boy." Hermione beamed as she bent down and she hugged him. "It worked," Teddy whispered lowly. Confused as to what her son meant, she spoke, "What do you mean Teddy bear?"

"My birthday wish! I wished that daddy would come home and he did!" Teddy cheered. Hermione smiled softly as she ruffled his hair and she fully got a good look at him once more and she realized how much he looked like Draco with the metamorphmagus gene he had inherited from his mother Nymphadora Tonks. "Our son is very persistent, he is." Draco murmured. Hermione smiled, "He gets that from your side of the family." "He does, doesn't he?" Draco grinned cheekily and he leaned in and pressed a kiss on her lips. "Daddy stop!" Teddy groaned.

Draco chuckled as he began to tickle Teddy. "Mummy help me!" Teddy cried out. "Oh alright," Hermione smiled as she then began to pepper Teddy's face with kisses. "I'll be good!" Teddy squeals out. Both Hermione and Draco share looks at each other before coming to a stop and Draco slowly put Teddy back on the ground. "Now what was this about a wish?" Draco asked. "I used my birthday wish daddy and it came true!" Teddy beamed. "Oh?" Draco wondered amused.

"He wished for you to come home." Hermione supplied softly. "Well then, it's a good thing I did hm?" Draco said. Teddy nodded enthusically. "Well Teddy bear, why don't you go wash up for dinner? It'll be ready soon." Hermione informed him. "Are nana Cissa and Papa Lucius coming?" Teddy asked innocently. "I'm sure that can be arranged." Draco said. "Yes!" Teddy cheered and he ran off.

(December Ist,2009) (2 years later) "Babe?" Hermione heard her husband call out. "Hm?" She hummed. "Do you want to know what I just found while bringing the Christmas decorations down?" "What's that?" Hermione asked as she sat down on the couch in the flat they owned. Draco held up an ornament. Hermione immediately recognized the ornament, "Our first ornament we had made when we moved in here?" Draco nodded, "Uh-huh. And I thought you'd like to do the honors of hanging it on our tree this year since I did it last year." "Why don't we do it together?" She asked. "We can." The both of them stood in front of their tree and they picked the spot where their ornament would hang.

Hermione sighed and she rested her head against his. "I wasn't waiting long." "Ready for our date?" Draco asked as he intertwined their fingers together. Hermione nodded. "Always." As they walked hand in hand, Draco led her to a table where a house elf was waiting. "Misses Hermione, Mister Draco! Ready for this evenings?" Topsy asked politely. "Yes we are." Draco said. Settling down in the chairs, Hermione and Draco began to talk about their days as the snow began to fall.

"You know what this is like?" Hermione sighed softly. "What's that love?" "Our very first date which was 4 years ago." Hermione recalled. "It is isn't it?" Draco mused. "It is and I happen to love it." Hermione murmured. "Yeah I do too. Being in exile for the last 7 years isn't so bad." Draco said. "Why's that?" "Because it led me to you."

Life for Draco hadn't always been easy. Growing up with a father who expected him to exceed all of his expectations and then a mother who thrived on making the best of the life they lived, without any consequences. It hadn't been easy, but they made it work even with Draco attending Hogwarts and such. Things had been different since the war ended and after the ministry sentenced the entire Malfoy family to exile for at least a few years. And so they made it work with the flat they purchased. While it wasn't ideal, they had told Draco that he could live with them as long as he learned to do things for himself, which meant like muggles. One might say that Lucius Malfoy must of been imperiused if he thought that doing things the muggle way, was going to be their new normal especially since they were now living in a rural part of London.

Though, Draco didn't mind it. He knew that doing things a certain way would benefit him in the long run. And that's exactly what he did, with the help of his aunt Andromeda, who was allowed to visit her family with permission from Kingsley himself. She helped him learn how to cook, clean and even drive. And this he could admit, he wasn't the best driver but he had gotten better with time.

•••• (April 2008) "Draco? Are you heading out son?" Narcissa asked her son. "I am actually." He nodded as he pulled on a hoodie. "With anyone in particular?" Lucius queried. Draco rolled his eyes at his parents attempt of being nosey. "Not that it's any of your business but yes." Narcissa smirked, "Tell her we say hello." Draco sighed and he bent down to kiss her cheek, "I will mum."

Grabbing his keys, his wallet and his phone, he made his way towards his car and he sent out a quick text message. Feeling statisfied with the message he sent, he put the key in the ignition and he peeled out the driveway of his parents house. Twenty minutes pass and he arrived at the lake. Draco grinned softly when he spotted a familiar car and he opened his car door and walked towards the lake. "Took you long enough." Hermione grinned and she walked up to him and wrapped her arms around his neck. "Sorry I kept you long pretty girl." Draco murmured as he leaned down and kissed her softly.
