Sometimes it sounds as if #PHLed authorities think there was no community process in 2012-13, but in fact there were countless meetings ... just very little actionable information or opportunity for meaningful community input - and a rush to judgment.

Philly is nearing a decision on closing some schools. Here’s a look inside the process. Addressing “enrollment trends that have created financial and operational inefficiencies” at Philly schools is imperative, Superintendent Tony B. Watlington Sr. said.

It is still unclear to me what lessons have been learned from the 2012-13 #PHLed school closings fiasco.

ICE is now asserting it's a federal crime for bystanders to request that masked people in plain clothes show identification as they're handcuffing folks and stuffing them into unmarked vans.

The Pa. Supreme Court reprimanded him as a lawyer. Philly Democrats want to make him a judge anyway. Judicial candidates like Shawn Page who win the party’s endorsement almost always triumph in the primary.

The Philadelphia Dem City Committee doesn’t have a problem with endorsing a candidate who was reprimanded by the PA Judicial Disciplinary Board and is clearly unqualified to be judge.

Philadelphia deserves better.
