Judge Bryan in Minnesota has scheduled a combined contempt hearing in morethan two dozen immigration cases for what he says has been widespread defiance of his orders to ensure released detainees are given their confiscated property. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

Judge Quraishi says that if ICE keeps arresting people and detaining them without bond under the legal theory that has been rejected by hundreds of judges, and any of those cases come across his bench, he'll immediately order DHS and DOJ personnel hauled into court to explain themselves.

They are blatantly doing taxation without representation towards all the blue states, expecting us to keep footing the bill while they take away our services and instead use our own money to oppress us. If it weren't for the fact that it's a Putin wet dream, I'd be screaming for CA secession daily.

And the really maddening part is that NO ONE in Congress seems to care. This is literal, by-the-book treason, and all they can say is "hey cut that out".

It's just insane the degree to which the federal government has simply declared war on a U.S. state. A punitive war with no discernible objective other than to immiserate its people. bsky.app/profile/apne...

Hundreds of American nurses choose Canada over the U.S. under Trump More than 1,000 American nurses have successfully applied for licensure in British Columbia since April, a massive increase over prior years.

A lot of them are going to Canada too, especially nurses!

Fascist Failure The State of Trump

Trump is failing at fascism, we must make sure he never succeeds by voting out every magat in congress in November, then move to impeach him and every cabinet member, especially puppy killer and guy who snorts drugs off toilet seats #DV1 #ProudBlue open.substack.com/pub/snyder/p...

Anti-ICE Ice Fishing, Subzero Marches, and Art Sled Activism: A Winter of Protest in the Twin Cities - Racket Protesters have shown their disgust with the Trump administration and their willingness to fight side-by-side with their neighbors—often in distinctly Minnesotan ways.

the last few weeks in MN have been the greatest moment of nonviolent protest i've seen in my lifetime. i spoke to the organizers of marches and demonstrations, bike rides and ice fishing protests—and even a puppeteer—about this winter of protest in minnesota.

An image of an official announcement from Columbia University in the City of New York, dated February 26, 2026. The letter is signed by Claire Shipman, Acting President.
The text states that at 6:30 a.m. that morning, Department of Homeland Security agents entered a Columbia Residential building and detained a student, allegedly using misrepresentations about searching for a "missing person" to gain entry.
The announcement reiterates university policy that law enforcement must have a judicial warrant or subpoena to access non-public areas, noting that an administrative warrant is insufficient. It instructs community members to ask agents to wait and to contact Public Safety if they seek entry to such areas. The university notes it is working to gather details, reach the student's family, and provide legal support.

Columbia University just emailed affiliates letting them know that federal agents from DHS abducted a student this morning from a campus residence under false pretenses and with no warrant or probable cause.

The only reason there isn’t a Minnesota flag hanging off my house right now is that Flags for Good has been out of double-sided flags and flagpole kits for weeks. If you had told me at any other point in my life that someday I would even be considering this I would have laughed at you

-- Suddenly talking again about need to "take" Greenland
-- Hyping importance of "strangling" Cuban government
-- Encouraging Trump to "topple" Iranian regime

The Trump movement is totally out of control. This will not end well.

Where's all the Twin Cities ICE relief concert money going, and how much? Brandi Carlile’s livestream at Target Center topped off several weeks of music and comedy events doubling as fundraisers.

~$1M was raised (maybe more, some organizers didn't reveal total amounts) in recent ICE relief concerts.

It is important to reiterate that all law enforcement agents must have a judicial warrant or judicial subpoena to access non-public areas of the University, including housing, classrooms, and areas requiring CUID swipe access. An administrative warrant is not sufficient.
If law enforcement agents seek entry to non-public areas of the University, ask the agents to wait to enter any non-public areas until contacting Public Safety. Trump regains power, his DOJ adopts his argument that Smith was “unlawfully appointed,” Judge Cannon blocks the release of Smith’s Mar‑a‑Lago report, and Patel purges the FBI agents who investigated Trump. This is a coordinated effort to erase accountability and intimidate future investigators.

It’s not just Medicaid funding they’re withholding to MN. It’s food assistance, child care assistance, social services, job training, safety testing, public health, disaster relief. SNAP. Free lunch for kids in school.

They hate us for loving our neighbors, and are collectively punishing us for it.

There are efficient, practical reasons for collecting tax dollars to invest back in the communities where we live. The community benefits when we invest in health, education, sanitation, clean water, etc. So it's hard to feel like they are taking our tax dollars to build concentration camps...

This is wrong and illegal and it comes only a few days after we *won* a temporary restraining order on similar retaliatory CDC funding cuts.

Lots of steps they could take if they were serious about fraud. They are not. This is collective punishment.

We can win here too.

And we will.
