Feeling a huge amount of compassion for a character in a book and suddenly realising that by some small way of shared trauma, I am that character, and I deserve that compassion too.

This is what I love about reading. The endless ways it reveals me to myself.

I prefer a link or for the list to be at the back of the book with a note in the front pointing to it. Advising is important, but exhaustive lists often cross into spoiler territory for me, and I don't like reading with the trigger hanging over me wondering when it's going to happen.
