I made this silly little birthday card for my mom in under an hour. I don’t ever use colored pencil, but I didn’t have time to wait for paint to dry. She said she didn’t need any cards this year. I think she’ll make an exception for this one.

Another watercolor. Twice the size of the last. The skill is better but the face is still off. I’ll try, try, try again.

My Sim painted for a day straight and created several masterpieces. I painted through the entirety of “Hamilton”, and only made a tiny watercolor.

(I’m about to delete Steam again. Over the past two days I’ve probably played cozy games for 16 hours. It’s getting out of hand.)

The worst is when they make comments like you’re not even there 🥲 my favorite from last night was the girl who got mad because I’s painted a scene from a movie she found problematic.

I did this Ghostworld painting back in 2022. It still hasn’t found a home.
It’s gotten pretty dinged up from going to so many shows over the past three years, so I decided to give it a little make over.

Whenever I start doing teeny detail work I think I’ll fly through it. That’s never the case.

The painting in the video is still a WIP, but the stippling paid off. Literally hours of my life lost to painting individual hair follicles.

Sage advice for my friends who may want to argue with people in the comment section of local news articles:

I hate when people say you were born with talent.
I didn't fly out of the womb with a tiny pencil in my hand. I mean, that would have been cool, albeit dangerous, but no, I was born without the pencil.
I had to spend years and years practicing to get where I am and I still have a lot to learn!

My work day started with explaining who Tom Nook is, and why I relax by being indebted to a Tanuki.

Quakers sue to keep US immigration agents out of houses of worship Quaker groups sued on Monday to prevent U.S. immigration agents from carrying arrests and searches in houses of worship, after the Trump Administration rescinded guidance that protected churches and schools from his mass deportation campaign.

Did not expect the Quakers to be one of the groups leading the charge, but here we go! More need to speak up!

Current painting I’m working on reminded me how much I love entirety of “Combat Rock”. Hearing this at age 16 altered my brain chemistry. It was a gateway to Manic Street Preachers, and from questioning the conservative culture I’d grown up around.
