A quilt top draped over a couch. The pattern is free from Tilda's World and is called Striped Fish. 28 fish swimming in rows alternating between 3 fish and 2. Each fish has a striped body with an orange tail and lips. The background fabric is Moda grunge blue - a mineral blue. Fish stripes are the Tilda Cotton Beach collection. Alternate stripes are pale gray and silver metalic Klimt fabric.

I am the lazy quilter! I'd just turn it inside out and iron interfacing to the cone. 🤣 Other options that I can think of are corset stays or stuffing it with polyfil.

I hope mine turns out as well! 🤣

My quilting bff and I often mention the quilt worthiness of recipients. Even quick quilts take dozens of hours and cost quite a bit. From curating the fabric to hand sewing the binding, it's a labor of love. It's wonderful to see someone so quilt worthy receiving such beautiful handmade items!!

I'm using the cheater method. The top diamond is split so there's no Y seam sewing.

Hey #Quiltsky ! I'm working on a giant tumbling blocks quilt. I love the border print (Jinny Beyer) and I'm thinking the gold blocks really distract from it. What are your thoughts? Apologies for the dark photos. My basement isn't well lit.

A queen sized sawtooth star quilt is spread out on a sewing table. The stars are various teal and blue fabrics from Laundry Basket Quilts collections. The background is a light cream color - Essence from Moda Grunge.

Quilting is in progress. The negative space is finished and round 1 of borders is done. I still have to figure out what I want to do with the stars and the rest of the borders. #quiltsky

The blocks for a queen sized quilt on a design wall. The inner blocks are sawtooth stars and the border blocks are flying geese pointing toward 2" squares. The foreground fabrics are grayed out teals and blues from various Laundry Basket Quilts collections. The background fabric is Moda Grunge Essence - a pale ivory linen with hints of green and blue.

And now to sew all the blocks together, make a quilt back, cut a binding, quilt and bind it. The border was inspired by a Robin Pickens blog for Moda Blockheads located here -> www.robinpickens.com/blog/borders...
