After hours in the castle for late-night filming in the bedroom of Loopy Ludwig, the Swan King of Bavaria.

Another good thing that happened was getting praised in the vote of thanks for including some haemorrhoids.

Gave a history talk about Queen Caroline.

'Sorry my daughter didn't come,' a lady said, 'she thought it was about Queen Charlotte and changed her mind when she realised it was Queen Caroline. Queen Caroline isn't in Bridgerton.' 😆

At Greggs in High Holborn there is - according to this eighteenth-century newspaper at least - 'as good CHOCOLATE as can be made in England.'

Well done Greggs!

(I have a family member who loves Greggs so much he tried to take his wife there on Valentine's Day.)

Tomorrow for work reasons I need to watch a draft version of a new TV programme while travelling on a plane.

I hope no one spots me & thinks 'it's a bit weird that Lucy Worsley spends her flight, erm, watching Lucy Worsley documentaries.'

85 years ago, the Battle of Britain was in progress. Wonderful dinner at the RAF Museum to commemorate. In the first photo I'm standing inside a flying boat!

What a trip to the Renaissance island city of Mantua!

✅️ate pumpkin ravioli
✅️celebrated an 80th birthday

That elevated iron cage on the wall of their palace is where the Dukes of Mantua kept their prisoners. Posting in honour of Ros Crone who presents #LadyKillers with me - she loves a good historic prison 😃
