On Thursday, our Women's team started their London League campaign to defend last year's title, against our newly formed 2nd team, who gave them quite a scare!

The match was quite close and it could have gone either way, hope all the players enjoyed their games

Tonight we start our 2025/26 League Season with three internal matches and a total of 30 Hammers! We even have some extra rated games on the side since demand was so high.

I sat next to David Navara at the FIDE World Rapid and Blitz Teams closing ceremony.

He was very kind, greeting me in my native language simply by having read my name on my badge. And he congratulated me and my @hammerchess.bsky.social team on the prizes we won

We had the pleasure of hosting World Champion WFM Bodhana Sivanandan last night as she gave a simul to 20 of Hammer's finest women, girls and boys!

After 2 and a half hours, she achieved the amazing score of 18.5-1.5!

We hope all participants enjoyed the experience

Our team received the U2200 prize yesterday at the #FIDERapidBlitzTeams closing ceremony!

It was an honor to share the stage with so many chess professionals, and we are immensely proud of what our club has achieved!

Our marvelous team has won the U2200 category at the FIDE World Rapid Team Championship 2025!

We scored 11 match points out of 24, improving on our starting rank by 12 spots.

Our Board 8, Aryaman Ganguly, has also won an individual Bronze Medal!
