Lol, I know it seems that way! I discovered the label during lockdown and a friend mentioned that every release was a winner. And he was right! Luckily I can get them very affordably, locally.

Ghost Tropic is the fifth regular studio album by Songs: Ohia. It was recorded by Mike Mogis at Dead Space Recording Studio in Lincoln, Nebraska. Released in 2000.

Possibly not the best choice to listen to while motivating to clean up the floor pile, but I’ve been meaning to revisit it

Today! is the second studio album, but third body of work recorded by folk/country blues musician Mississippi John Hurt. It was recorded in 1964, and released in 1966 by Vanguard Records. This album contains some of the first commercial material recorded after his "rediscovery" in 1963, and is the first he recorded for Vanguard. The album spans several genres and styles of music, ranging from traditional blues and folk songs, to country, to African-American spirituals. Along with Hurt's two previous releases, Today! helped to reveal his work to a wider folk audience. In 2009, the album was one of the twenty-five selections that were added to the Library of Congress' National Recording Registry.

I met Sarah Davachi in Vancouver, 2015. She was opening for Robert A. A. Lowe and I. I was mesmerised by Sarah's droning violin and synth work, and when I heard she would tour Australia I invited her to come and record with me... she did... Sarah Davachi brought a Harp Odyssey synthesiser and a looper. I thought it would be interesting to mix a tempura for harmonics, a harmonium for drones, my saxophones for melodies, keyborard/ laptop/Ableton/plugins for effects; this album is what we did.. in one day... the Good Vibes were there....!
