There were two acceptable answers to her request:
- Yes, I'll do it.

Any other answer is unacceptable and unreasonable. She wasn't being cruel with the request, he was being cruel with his response.

My feelings on this greatly depends on factors not said. But, the fact he pays child support is not one of them. Child support is for the normal care for the child, not a party.
