Think he's right personally..goes for fans at all clubs. Fans often show incredibly poor judgement with the timing of these things..we've seen it at Everton and it's been an issue at other clubs this year. If the timing impacts important events of the pitch, it lacks IQ.

Playing devil's advocate though..applying the same logic, how do you hold any manager accountable for anything? He spent something like £125m in the summer..the majority of the players are either glaringly not good enough (Barry) or don't play (Dibling, Aznou, Rohl). The manager is accountable.

No, I didn't miss them out..they are some of the players in that category of 'good enough to keep at the club and be around', but absolutely nothing at this point worthy of considering them definitive first XI players. And there's zero chance of Barry coming good, he is atrocious.

And I think we'll see that come the season end..I think we'll struggle to exceed the 48 points gained in the past 2 seasons..so if that is the case, and we look back on well over £100m spent, £100m net..it's fair to question the plan and the outlook isn't it.

And indeed, when you zoom out and explore why Moyes is seemingly (strangely to the casual eye) disliked by so many fans of clubs he has managed..it's this..it's the football, the fact there is no plan, nothing progressive, hardly a level difference with good players or bad. Just playing percentages.

The one thing that is factual is the results, we can all agree on that. After that, it's opinion. You say defence, I say a completely inept football performance from start to finish. 'Heads falling off' is such a reductive comment. I honestly haven't seen any extreme reactions..just valid criticism, or folks saying what they've been saying consistently. Saying criticism = heads falling off is no more productive than saying the opposite view = "no-standards losers".

Travers, Aznou, Barry, Dibling. In the region of £90m speny..NINETY MILLION English pounds. Whoever is responsible for those decisions should be gone already. That is why fans are pissed, that is why the football remains garbage. Simply setting fire to the funds the new owners made available!

If you want to get re-angry about Everton..consider this: Bournemouth acquired both new fullbacks, Truffert and Jiminez, in the summer..about £12m combined, one signed, one loan. Meanwhile we spent £55m on Aznou and Dibling to barely give them an opportunity even. Utterly inept recruitment.

I haven't seen a single person suggest that is the aim or expectation at this point. But likewise, yes we expect to see an improvement when we've spent what we have and really got so little value from a really terrible set of signings..and particularly more than the dross we've had at home.
