True story, I once played Ice Cauldron in a mono-red deck about 10-12 years ago just because I knew what it actually did and wanted to prove that I did. Even used it once or twice.

Was it actually any good? Hell no, but that wasn't the point.

I did no fewer than seven MB2 drafts in that basement between Friday and Saturday and I'm still not sure how I survived it.

It was a pandemic project of mine. I think I only ever played it on Spelltable, which probably didn't help my opinion of it. Could have used some more work, probably.

C16 Atraxa. I only played it twice, since it just completely folded to the first board wipe and did stone nothing for the rest of the game, and took it apart a few years ago. I'll try to find a link when I'm not on my work computer.

As someone who actually built a charge-counter-themed deck once, the one that puts charge counters on things, 100%.

Also, the cantankerous old man in me's now reminiscing about the days when just being a 4/4 with lifelink for 4 mana would have been way too good to print without *either* ability.

It's not even a legendary creature, so we can't say they did it to put both your engine and your payoff in the command zone like we usually do when this happens.

Yep. I went and bought a set of the foil memes thinking that'll look great on my sealed shelf for five years, and once I got past the 3-hour queue, I noticed the non-foil Tragic Romance was still available, so picked one up in case I ever swap my Giada deck to Kaalia.
