North America’s European-style larp festival returns on August 14 - 16, 2026 in Minneapolis. Make a Scene is the only stand-alone festival this side of the Atlantic that premieres brand new larps organized around a bespoke theme. www.makeascenemn.org
Make a Scene authors retain all rights to their work, and after the premiere at our festival they can showcase or publish their scenario anywhere.
Submit your pitch for a scenario by March 9.
Get Paid for Your Larp!
If your scenario is accepted to premiere at Make a Scene, we’ll pay you to write your larp for us. We’re a small grant-funded organization, so we offer a modest $300 honorarium. While this won’t cover anyone’s rent, the honorarium recognizes our authors’ commitment to create a new piece of art.

'real' artists are not allowed to exalt their work and must present it publicly as a sort of 'i dont think this is very good but maybe you will get around to it.' HECK THAT. love yourself

Hey tabletop gamers, if you bought or were considering buying this bundle but got overwhelmed by the number of games to sort through, have I got the spreadsheet for you!!
All 1,074 games tagged as "physical" sorted by play style, with language, engine, and genre notated to the best of my ability:
When people are talking about chaining different TTRPG systems together to form a larger, more complex narrative, you can literally do that by playing Breaking the Ice then Shooting the Moon then Under My Skin with the same(-ish) set of characters. The Romance Trilogy.
Have done it.
Can recommend.
PLEASE pitch us a boffer larp so good we have to figure out how to do this

Covid deniers gonna kill us all. Bhattacharya (Brownstone Institute) had a direct, aggressive role in US's high death rate and spread Covid disinfo to undermine trust. He wrote the eugenicist Great Barrington Declaration. He created the conditions he cites as reasons.

Agents Suspended After Their Story of Shooting an Immigrant Falls Apart A judge dropped charges against the immigrant and another man after the top federal prosecutor in Minnesota said new evidence was not consistent with the agents’ testimony.
Hey remember the shooting in Minneapolis that happened between Renee Good and Alexi Pretti, the guy they claimed was shot by an agent after he had attacked that agent with a shovel? I know it's hard to believe but the agents' story fell apart and charges were dropped. www.nytimes.com/2026/02/12/u...

I think a lot about how relationship maps can drive design and play. Here's a map for a six-character game that includes lines of affinity and also primary motivations proximal to characters. Everyone but the king has at least one one-sided relationship. Everyone knows exactly what to do.
