23.11.2025 01:34 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Excellent news. If you move out here I'll give you the name of an Indian restaurant in a strip mall in Delaware that beats anything West Philly has to offer (minus the onion chutney).
25.10.2025 03:06 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Philly is a worthy destination for the food alone. Have you found a place yet?
24.10.2025 03:38 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0New Delhi? I wasn't sure until you said onion chutney, but I've made a side dish of that alone
24.10.2025 00:30 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0And you're very genteelly judged when you walk in. I still haven't recovered from an attempt in 1996.
24.10.2025 00:27 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Absolutely. So many great restaurants, beautiful architecture, so walkable, and that quirky Philly "charm" that requires quotation marks.
I think you'd fit in just fine. (And I have a Mexican-Irish diner in Delco that will either kill you or make you stronger).
They told her to "go big, you're competing with an inflatable chicken." She understood the assignment.

06.08.2025 00:50 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I was told that my math score would have been higher if I'd simply left the questions unanswered.
09.07.2025 05:07 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0The Tudors got their hooks in me with the BBC production of the Six Wives that I saw on PBS. My mom's interest ran out at Anne Boleyn, but I kept going, at age 7.
07.07.2025 18:54 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Meow, motherfucker.
19.06.2025 00:22 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0The squeak was bad enough. The fact that it was silent enough to hear the squeak, that said volumes.
16.06.2025 18:16 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I think that review actually sold me some books. Now they'll be upset because there's insufficient smut.
13.06.2025 02:03 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Aww, thanks. The bad reviews do happen, though.
12.06.2025 11:55 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Ooh, I'll have to try. I hadn't had them for a long time and the last Fig Newton I tasted was definitely not my childhood snack.
Now if you find a substitute for Sunshine Raisin Biscuits, let me know. Garibaldis are closer, but no cigar.
I'm a sucker for Poiret. I went to the exhibit at the Met years ago and set off so many alarms by leaning in to see details that security was about ready to escort me out.
06.05.2025 00:31 — 👍 3 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I saw it on the menu and despite the carnage already on that table (this was husband's bucket list restaurant choice with a tower of shellfish on ice), had to have it. I regret nothing.
27.04.2025 12:57 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Not a fruit dessert, but have a have at the Ile Flottante from our recent trip to Paris. Big as a baby's head, and yes, I ate the whole thing.
27.04.2025 03:41 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0The mitts and the bare legs stopped me cold. You can find a lace curtain for your head but not a pair of sheer black pantyhose?
27.04.2025 03:39 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0If you see this, list a picture of trees by water.
24.04.2025 16:13 — 👍 5 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0My mom and I generally didn't share taste in men, but we made an exception for him.
12.04.2025 18:11 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I can absolutely smell that combination. Virginia Slims and Aqua Net or Luckies and Aqua Net?
09.03.2025 14:09 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0This just popped up in my feed. I haven't seen you anywhere online since 2023 and I'm so glad you're around and okay (or as okay as any of us can be) and still sounding like your wonderful snarky self.
06.03.2025 16:11 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I haven't had a primary in over 10 years. Had to find one because new benefits want a referral for eye doctor. I have glaucoma & require multiple checks per year.
15+ practices weren't accepting new patients or not for 6 months. Finally found one, but it was an exhausting, 3 day process.
@bjornlarssen.com says it better than I ever could. 😘

I automatically don’t believe a 5.0 average. Although I was wrong once. ‘Songbird’ by @karenheenan.bsky.social had a 5.0 average on Amazon and GR when I read it, thinking “this author sure has many friends.” Then I had to add my own 5* because yes, the book is this good.
