I have never been less excited for a USMNT match than I am today. I really, REALLY don’t need Trinidad and Tobago to confirm my worst fears about this team a year before a World Cup yet again.

Welp. We stood in the pouring rain once again just to watch the USMNT lose. But at least I can always say that whenever we play in Hartford, we WILL fill the stadium up, even in awful weather. Us CT folks love our soccer.

I have no sympathy. The lack of fire and passion is embarrassing. I agree with you, make Tyler captain again.

This really feels like more of an all time low for the USMNT than 2017. I’ve personally never felt worse about this team, and at a time when I should be the most excited I’ve ever been with the World Cup just over a year away, all I feel is apathy. I hate this.

I don’t necessarily think we need to keep politics off the pitch - soccer is inherently political. The problem here is that supporting Trump isn’t simply a political opinion, especially not now in 2024. It’s a statement on believing that not everyone deserves basic human rights, respect & equality.

It makes me sad that Pulisic did that stupid dance last night. This team played the best 90 mins of soccer that they’ve played since the few games we got under BJ, & now instead of being able to talk about that, all the conversation is (rightly so) focused on “Captain America” supporting a fascist.

We’ve had some defensive mistakes but otherwise, they’ve looked so much better tonight. The start of the Poch era is so exciting 🤩

Seeing as Pulisic did the Trump dance, I think it'd be totally reasonable to ask him post-game about how Trump's policies would directly harm many of his teammates and their families
