I was very excited to discover sour plums at my local Middle Eastern supermarket, as I didn’t know you could get them outside Japan. So, I impulsively bought everything necessary to make umeshu (or Japanese plum wine). These should be ready for drinking in a year’s time. Kampai!

My book on love is now available for pre-order! It provides an original phenomenology of love through a fundamental critique of Heidegger’s existential ontology. It will be out in December and includes a preface by Claude Romano, whose work the book was largely inspired by.

That sounds like him! His academic career failed a few years ago (there still is *some* justice in academic employment decisions, apparently) and he has since become a very reactionary ‘public intellectual’ here in Flanders. He’s a grifter in the true sense of the word.

As a Belgian philosopher, I’m delighted to hear Boudry is hated internationally as well. He indeed is a complete hack!
