I thought Chinatown and The Long Goodbye and Devil in a Blue Dress constituted a subset I'd call Sunshine Noir, noirs set in LA that glow with the heat of an abscessed infection, but what do you call a noir set in Jersey City that's all ice and grimy street slush? Winter Noir?
