Participants are welcome to record the videos in the language of their choice but should provide English subtitles. Videos must be submitted by sending a streaming link.

Or βPhylogenetic approaches to cultureβ). The clips will be reviewed by the scientific committee and those selected will be shown during the conference in Rabat and then put online on the Youtube channel of the Cultural Evolution Society.

These should be intended for the general public as an outreach/educational clip. The films can present the filmmakers specific scientific interests or serve a more pedagogical role (e.g., presenting some key ideas of cultural evolution, such as βDo animals have culture?β

We welcome proposals for brown-bagβstyle interactive sessions (about 1.5 hour) including methods clinics, special-interest or thematic discussions, discussions aimed at supporting junior researchers in their professional development or any other community-building discussions.

2.β β Lunch Across Societies β Joint with HBES
Held on the joint/overlapping day with HBES (May 13th), Lunch Across Societies offers an informal space for small-group scholarly exchange aimed at fostering cross-societal dialogue and intellectual exchange in an informal setting.

Proposals will be reviewed and only two panel submissions will be selected for inclusion in the program (one per day).

This panel should address an important topic for the discipline that is not strictly scientific but highly relevant such as issues or representation and inclusion, ethics or equity in the field, and broader issues shaping disciplinary culture.
