Today, solar crossed 26,000 megawatts for the first time ever, meeting >56% (!) of demand (also a record). Previous solar record was exceeded by 1,316 megawatts. Earlier this week wind & solar combined for 39,946 megawatts,, nearly 1,000 megawatts more than the previous record.
