We submitted a regulatory petition to the FDA to comply with 21 U.S.C. 360jj(a)(2) and study LED products and submit a report to Congress. If the FDA fails to approve the petition within 180 days, I will file a lawsuit.

On October 7, 2025, the India Supreme Court issued a ruling which states: “35.15 The Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH), State Transport Departments, and traffic police authorities shall prescribe maximum permissible luminance..." Luminance is the correct metric.

TRL was commissioned by the UK government to drive around measuring headlight luminance in real world conditions. This is the first study to finally measure the correct metric for glare: luminance. The study confirms that headlights are too bright!
