We finished the workshop with a grand question: What is the BIG argument for the safe use of AI in policing? What subsequent concrete questions should both policymakers and police forces ask when presented with AI-enabled solutions?

We also discussed how state-of-the-art AI assurance, building on long-established practices in safety-critical systems, can support the responsible deployment of AI in policing.
