It's as though I'm just waiting for someone to appear out of nowhere and say, "Don't you remember me? We're childhood friends who've liked each other this whole time, and I'm also a beautiful butch lesbian who will treat you RIGHT! Let's get married!" Of course, this is never gonna happen...
I'm sure that finding a partner will take much more effort, more tough conversations, and a LOT more stepping out of my comfort zone.
But for now, I can't help but wonder if a miracle could come true for me, too.

I'm on the ground. God, I've seen what you've done for others... A kid and his mom walk by. "Mom, there's someone mumbling to the ground!" "Don't stare, Timmy, it's rude!"
It doesn't help that I'm a hopeless romantic, but when only about 1% of the population is in my dating pool, romance - especially sapphic romance - feels like a miracle.
Sometimes, I wonder if I even WANT a partner, or just the "street cred" that comes with it. There's a sense of voyeurism that I feel when I see any couple... Society sees you differently.

Two years ago, I broke up with my boyfriend of 6 years. Me: Hey so uh I can't do this anymore... Him: Oh, okay... *Yes, it was over Discord... It was like a weight lifted off of my shoulders, and I realized(?) that I'm most probably a lesbian.
Growing up, I'd get warm fuzzies from seeing girls on TV. - Katie from School of Rock - Padme from Star Wars - Cure Passion from Pretty Cure Little me: wow... Girls are so cool...
Meanwhile, with my favorite male characters... Little me: They're like brothers to me! Dating wise, I have trouble going to social gatherings alone, so my go-to for meeting people has been dating apps. Except... Why are there only 20 people I can date in all of LA??? And half of them smoke... And why do I get straight people on my feed?
