Every few months I need a reminder about why I don't post on #reddit This time it was having a post flagged for "sensitive content" because I was asking for help deciding on a skin color descriptor for a non-white MC. #writing #frustration

The funniest thing to me about building a #ttrpg #battlemap is when the setting is post indoor plumbing and you need to decide where the bathrooms are. I know it's not necessary, but it feel weird to not put a bathroom in a building

Moved my focus from #streaming to #resinart. Just finished setting up my Etsy store and I have officially opened my commissions.

I missed these sweet beans while I was on vacations.

#chronicillness sucks. Went to Scotland on vacation, was having a great time. But a lot of Scotland is VERY hilly and by the 4th day of trekking up 8% grade hills on my 10 mile average town tours my hip gave out. Now I am stuck low mobility mode for the next month+

Last night's #cyberpunkred #ttrpg session was a continuation of the tower defense fight. Every red X is a dead body. There are 45+ of them. Two crew members have lost a hand, one lost a leg, another has broken ribs, and the wolf companion has been struck by lightning twice. Been a lot of fun

I mean, all of it really. Other schools of magic can have interesting components or expressed effects. Curative magic feels so underwhelming narratively in comparison. Just snap your fingers and what ails your allies is gone. I also think that HP is lack luster in most cases.

I was once told that I had a stronger understanding of people than I claimed because I could #write well rounded compelling characters.
No, that's just my #autism allowing me to speed run a character through 1000 possible lives. It does not help me understand why people do what they do irl

Been working on my #homebrew for my next #ttrpg campaign and am currently trying to decide how to make curative magic feel more narratively interesting because I feel like curative spells tend to get overlooked narratively.

I hate being told I'm "trauma dumping" when I'm sharing a story about my childhood. I'm not dumping my trauma on the people around me, I'm telling a story from my childhood that for me was completely normal. Sorry I didn't grow up super privileged.

The past few weeks of my #cyberpunkred #ttrpg campaign has been the crew playing tower defense while the netrunner gets into a megacorp architecture. Wave after wave of low level mooks with the added bonus of a flooding building and the knowledge that there may or may not be a giant snake.

When I started this campaign I asked my players what they wanted and they told me they wanted to punch fascists and not be made to feel bad when they take out bad people. As well as having enough money to pay your rent and being able to land your dream job.

I run my #cyberpunkred #ttrpg as a power fantasy for my players. I know the game is meant to be gritty and hopeless, but life in America is already that way for most of us on the day to day.

Was pointed out by a player last night during our #cyberpunkred #ttrpg that for the start of #pride the crew went to a consent heavy kink club to weed out abusers and if that wasn't fitting they didn't know what was.

Things I think more about when making #ttrpg #maps for #cyberpunkred than I did for #pathfinder
