I think that's false. On the federal level you're unlikely to get a choice between 0% harm and 100% harm, but you may get the choice between 20% harm and 100% harm. That's not nothing.

It won't solve every problem all at once tomorrow but it will help some people right away and it's a pretty small ask for most people so it's worth doing.

It's unlikely we'll get someone on the national stage that ends the American Imperial system immediately, but we can choose how much harm that system does by picking less harmful candidates. And we can also significantly reduce the harm done to marginalized groups in our communities at the same time

Quite a lot, actually, especially on the local levels. Through the primary process we can choose who is eligible for office, and then we elect from that pool.

Of course, more than one person can be responsible for something. Politicians also have to run effective campaigns, and if they fail then they also get blame. This is a "both-and" situation.

Incredible opinion. It holds that the common ICE tactic of jumping out of an unidentified rental vehicle and seizing suspected noncitizens while masked violates the Fourth Amendment because the *manner* of the seizure is incompatible with a free society governed by the rule of law.
