I often wonder if white scholars have any idea what any of this feels like. If they have to spend weeks distracted by hate mail and death threats. If they have any clue how different we are.

I spend so much of my time fighting to exist. My rights are always conditional. Their's are just a given.

I don’t have a lot of sympathy for very wealthy, privileged people who are capitulating to fascism and/or staying silent because they’re “scared.” People are being dragged out of their homes and people who could be next are *still* speaking up. Silence won’t protect you but it emboldens them
