And yeah, every time something new comes up, it naturally takes my lawyer time to deal with and drives up my costs, which I stand little chance of recovering

The legal proceedings were delayed by months because the dealership’s lawyer hadn’t seen all the info I submitted to MVDT, but the dealership had copies of that all along. And more recently, it took them months to agree to get any scheduling in place and now apparently the date doesn’t work for them

Just a reminder that I’ve had issues with this BRAND NEW car since the day I bought it, I rejected it last September after waiting months for a replacement driveshaft that they still couldn’t give an ETA on, and it’s since also needed new sway bar linkages cause those broke too 🙃

I hope you feel better soon! I saw in your replies that your rehydration might be making it worse, some (esp sugar free) electrolytes have sorbitol or similar as sweeteners and that can cause diarrhoea

We’ve also been procedurally ready for scheduling for months now and have no date yet. the delay isn’t on the courts at this point, nor is it on me or my lawyer

It was a brand new EV from what I thought was a reputable dealership so that’s about the amount we’re looking for a refund 🙃 the whole experience has been eye opening and frustrating but I’m a stubborn little shit and very principled at that

At least part of the timeline I’m on is an overburdened system, but there’s also many opportunities for savvy lawyers that the big boys can afford to drag things out, presumably in the hope I get sick of it or can no longer afford it and drop it

Went that way, they did not uphold my rejection for reasons inconsistent with what I was told at the hearing, appealed with a lawyer on errors of law. I first rejected the car in Sept last year. Even if I do get a refund, I’ve got my lawyers bill to sort out myself. Costs awards are rare & small
