Dem senator: Please, protestors, there are better ways to oppose the president

Voters: Like not voting for his nominees?

Dem senator: haha no no no. No. What I mean is we are writing a rap

We need a leftist Andrew Tate. We need a leftist Fox News. We need a casino where you don't gamble and they give you free money. I refuse to understand the ecosystem I'm in the center of and I will not leave or modify my behavior. We need leftist McNuggets

Looks like Homeland Security Advisor Stephen Miller has gone over the edge. Way, way over the edge.

He tells Fox News: the Supreme Court is made up of “rogue radical communist left-wing” judges and demands America sides with Trump “to remove these terrorists from our communities.”

I don’t know. People want to grasp to grasp to ideas of legality like a life preserver while authoritarians warp the legal system. If you want to drown in the water, best of luck. But people are going to have to wrap their minds around the fact that authoritarian takeovers change everything.

The Harem of Elon Musk The DOGE leader is offering the Republican Party a very different vision of fatherhood.

I just don’t think anyone can discount a trend that had previously ambivalent readers waiting in line for 700 page books lol. Nothing else came close in that regard. Now one could argue those same kids read every Harry Potter book and nothing after and since 😂 but yeah

I said contemporary for a reason. For kids who are already heavy readers (I was too) it’s easy to read older books or get into some classics. HP was unique in that they were very lengthy, moderate reading level books that were also super modern and appealing to kids who didn’t like to read

I’m surprised at how many people said they thought he was dead. They aren’t being sent to death. They are very valuable prisoners for Trump to use for his propaganda and for El Salvador to use as labor. Deaths will happen at Guantanamo

It wasn’t YA, it was middle grade. The later books were YA as the characters aged but 1-3 at the time it didn’t have much contemporary competition. The authors you mention are more older YA to adult

No ten year old reading a 700 page book for fun is borderline illiterate

Cause they were children who weren’t watching online breakdowns, just engaged in a very classic story with more in depth world building than was often available for that age group.

They were literally kids books. Specifically middle grade, so it’s kinda crazy to say a 700 page book for a 10 year old is for the “borderline illiterate” 🧐

You can be deported with no reason given at all. That’s irrelevant. My point was that you were wrong saying it isn’t free speech. It is.

According to who? And actually yes, hate speech is free speech in the US. That’s why we can’t be jailed for it.

Homeland Security agents attempted to enter 2 LAUSD schools. Here's what families should know Federal agents were turned away from two South Los Angeles elementary schools this week, the district’s superintendent says.

Federal officials said they were doing wellness checks on children who arrived unaccompanied at the border. School administrators turned them away.

The debate over whether to take Trump literally or seriously is over. He has now learnt how to be the tyrant he always wished to be.
That took a while. But, with the help he has received, he is there. His administration is engaged in a comprehensive assault on the American republic and the global order it created. Under attack domestically are the state, the rule of law, the role of the legislature, the role of the courts, the commitment to science and the independence of the universities. All these were the pillars on which US freedom and prosperity rested.
Now, he is destroying the liberal international order. Soon, I presume, Trump will be invading countries, as he proceeds to restore the age of empires.

“When we treat public health as a menu of optional precautions, we stop being a society and start being a collection of disconnected risk profiles. That may feel empowering in the moment. But when the next crisis hits, we’ll wish we hadn’t forgotten how to move as a unit.”
