The Risk: setting up a new device with old, recycled passwords carries your past vulnerabilities into your new tech.

The Fix: Before you unbox and log in, update your critical passwords. Use the holiday break to enable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) on your most important accounts.

2. New Gear Needs New Passwords 📱 Expecting a new phone, laptop, or tablet under the tree? It’s the perfect time for a credential cleanup.

The Risk: Sharing photos of friends, colleagues, or children without consent can expose their location and identity to bad actors.

The Fix: Always ask before you post. Be particularly careful about background details that might reveal sensitive information or locations.
