The most metaphorical and obvi way to describe what’s going on in your brain when you’re depressed and the symptoms are symptoming and you’re really going through it

I promise that there’s someone out there that cares enough to listen and hear you out; it just really fucking sucks that under this quote unquote ‘leadership’ help and support is not prioritized. So folks going through it just need to try their best to be resilient and rise above

However that’s why it’s important to check in and establish a support system; regardless of our situation. It could mean texting or calling a friend or reaching out to a hotline; everyone’s experience and journey is different— but we should still all try even if the systems in place suck

It can definitely feel overwhelming when you feel like you have nobody else is in your corner rooting for you; but that’s like kinda of a feature in the bug/ and that’s what depression and a lot of mood disorders do/ or make us feel like

Bc sometimes it doesn’t matter if your circle of friends/ family or support system has a robust knowledge of how to help; sometimes sometimes you just need someone to listen and help you get your thoughts in order so you can help you help yourself.

Literally ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ shrinks and shuts down parts of your brain; which is why I always feel like it’s important validate and acknowledge when you have a strong support system

real talk depression kinda clouds your brain and makes it hard to both see the silver lining in the clouds and makes it feel hard to redirect/ reorient your thoughts to be more optimistic

What if you acknowledge all your fears and insecurities and decide to validate them and still say yeah some of those outcomes could suck and be scary; but what if I tried anyway and hoped for the best ?

So I’m watching welcome to derry and having a great time; even though I don’t usually do the best with scary shows or movies — especially as it relates to primordial or conceptual fears. However the plot line and exposition has been great so far — and it’s leading a Q I’ve had on my mind for a bit
