I had the opportunity last month to record a Heavy Networking podcast with Packet Pushers. This was a lot of fun and was a great exploration of implementing EVPN/VXLAN everywhere instead of VLAN trunking driven by great questions by Ethan and Drew.

setattr() might be the better way to do this, though.

setattr(self, 'foo', 'Hi There's)

Cool little trick. In a class __init__ method
`vars(self)[attrname] = attrobj`

This will set an attribute on the object named whatever is in the attrname variable.

So:
attrname = 'foo'
attrobj = "Hi There'
vars(self)[attrname] = attrobj
results in:
self.foo == 'Hi There'

Yeah, the whole idea of doing it mid-decade and blatantly for partisan reasons is absolutely disgusting, but it would have been oh so karmically awesome if it really had backfired like that. It still might in Texas.

Maybe, I did see a dude (on YouTube, so grain of salt and all) doing analysis saying that, with the new maps, and assuming a 13 pt shift to the left, as we've seen in recent special elections, IN could've ended up 9-0 Democrat!

If others are not familiar with Autocon, it legitimately is the premier gathering of a lot of really brilliant folks working in the network automation space.

Agreed...but that's a lot of smoke for a light plane. Cargo would be about the best case (of a set of bad possibilities)

So what I'm learning here is that my family's rules really aren't all that strict.

I totally get the reasoning for more qualifications,and I called for a rule clarification from my family on DE, because counting it felt kinda cheap. But they affirmed it, so...:shrug:

That'd take DE off my list. I just drove through in my car, feet didn't actually touch the ground, but by our rules, I get to count it.
