Whenever I think about The Hague, I think about the one sweet Amazing Race contestant who wasn’t familiar with the city prior to visiting it on the show. He pronounced it “The Hagoo.”

Now I want someone to ask me about my trip to “The Hagoo” so that I can gently but firmly say “Actually, it’s pronounced Hagway.” 🧙‍♀️

I keep hearing people say that some political figure or other is going to “end up in The Hague” & I just think they should put that court in a less lovely city.

Yes, definitely. I remember how urgent it felt with the first few books. And then after more books, more revisions, it started to feel less urgent and exploratory, and more just… familiar. (The early childhood stuff feels inexhaustible though!)

That’s why I stopped writing YA. I felt like I’d turned the page.

The word count of this manuscript is a little low, which cozies sometimes are, but still, as I’m giving it one more polish I’m also aiming to add 1-2 thousand words. So polishing and plumping... Maybe it’s revision, maybe it’s Maybelline? 😃 💋 #writesky #writingcommunity #amrevising #mystery
