As well as my brilliant casework team getting to grips with the practical solutions needed to fix sewerage problems at Torkington Park, I spoke in Parliament this week to try and get time to address the wider issue – tackling the Environment Agency, water companies and housing companies.

Where is the new accountability for politicians? Where are the robust measures to really stamp out corruption and interference?

Some positive steps in this response following a recent meeting I had with Kate Dearden and Andrew Western, but nowhere does it mention changing the rules on adoption pay for the self-employed. It is essential that the Government delivers fair support for all adoptive parents.

This week Parliament debated the Representation of the People Bill. While there are positive elements to it, frankly, it does nowhere near enough to deal with overseas interference in our democracy, to reform our terrible voting system, or to reform the House of Lords into a worthy second chamber.

Thanks to everyone who came along to my MP surgery on Saturday. It's an opportunity to hear from people with particularly complex or involved cases.

My phenomenal casework team recently passed 16,000 cases; we'll continue to work through as many as we can, as quickly as we can.

Always a pleasure to meet Dame Sarah Storey, and this time on home turf, as I took the GM Active Travel Commissioner around Romiley, looking at the new crossings, and discussed the safer crossings near ALDI and on Hatherlow, improving road safety across the region, and accessible train stations.

Restoring postal services in High Lane, and at the Five Ways in Hazel Grove, is reliant on getting a better business model for postmasters , so that opening one works for their businesses. I keep putting pressure on the Ministers to work with Post Office Ltd to deliver this change.

Attended events in Parliament dealing with protecting children from the horrors of livestreamed abuse; on early detection and treatment of Heart Valve Disease; and on better care for patients.

Met with the insightful Dame Sarah Storey to look at the accessibility improvements in Romiley; and discuss ramped access at the train station, better implementation of 20mph zones and identifying and delivering road safety at known hotspots.

Featured on Radio 4's "Week in Westminster" to discuss why we need more transparency around the role of the former Prince Andrew as a trade envoy, my speech in the historic Humble Address debate and Lib Dem calls for further improvements needed so that MPs can hold the powerful to account.

Tackled the Minister about the poor deal for postmasters that is preventing us from getting replacement post office services in High Lane and Hazel Grove.

It is hard to hear about livestreamed abuse, but it is important that this is dealt with by Westminster, and we put in place the laws that will help end this criminal exploitation of children. Thank you to the International Justice Mission for coming to Parliament to talk about how to combat this.

One critical problem with Royal Mail delivery is NHS letters and appointments not getting through to people quickly enough. It's good to hear that an NHS barcode system has been brought in to address this. It would be good to get people's feedback on whether it is working.
