Went to Knit and Natter 🧶 at Compass Point, and went to Woodgrove Court in Hazel Grove, to meet residents and answer their questions.

Dropped in to the Royal Mail sorting office in Bredbury to talk about how they were addressing their delivery issues – and even delivered a round myself. ✉️

Was out on the doorstep with my colleagues in Bredbury and Marple, listening to hundreds of people about any issues they have.

This week I:

Spent time at Manchester Airport ✈️, seeing round the new Terminal 2, meeting the Managing Director, and talking about the 700 of my constituents who work at the airport, and how we can make it easier for them to use public transport.

Congratulations to Stepping Hill Hospital’s new £34m emergency care building, shortlisted for national award.

However, there are parts of Stepping Hill Hospital which are older than the NHS. We need a hospital which is *all* at the highest standard.

I was at Manchester Airport yesterday, to be shown round the new Terminal 2, and to raise issues such as making it easier for staff – 700 from my constituency – to get to the site via public transport. Thanks to everyone who helped #ManchesterAirport #LisaSmartMP

Took the opportunity while Parliament is in recess to spend more time out listening to residents, knocking on hundreds of doors in Bredbury and Woodley, Little Moor and Marple. 

Celebrated a year as MP with some of the amazing friends and volunteers who helped make it happen.

Marked Love Parks ♥️ 🏞️ week, celebrating some of our amazing spaces for children of all ages across Stockport. 

 Visited Offerton Cricket Club 🏏, seeing the juniors training and finding out more about the great work they do in the community.

Celebrated with the amazing volunteers at Marple Wharf, who have received £864,000 to go towards the creation of a new heritage centre and cafe – and 🤞🤞 a step towards World Heritage Site status.

It's Love Parks Week this week, and we have some wonderful spaces in our area. But local authorities need more funding so that we can provide and look after those spaces. #LoveParks #FairFunding #LisaSmartMP #HazelGrove

Fantastic news for the Wharf in Marple! What a great bunch of volunteers, and what a fantastic success for our area and our heritage.

It was fantastic news yesterday from The Wharf Marple that they have been awarded over £800,000 to regenerate this lovely building, and create an interactive heritage centre and cafe to show people the very best of our wonderful industrial history and beautiful area.

Celebrated a win for the Liberal Democrats 🔶🎉 and the environment with the Government backing our policy to scrap Ofwat, and replace it with a regulator with teeth – the failure to get to grips with sewage dumping is a national disgrace.
