It is wrong to stop people fleeing war and persecution from having the ability to come to the UK legally and claim asylum. The Home Office's proposals punish vulnerable populations and are using these communities as scapegoats.

I have written to the Home Secretary to outline my deep concerns.

I just saw a headline saying ‘failed asylum seekers to be offered up £40000 to leave UK’ … it’s probably nonsense … but if it’s true might it not be better to get them to stay, get a job and pay actual tax into the system?!? 😬 I know … I’m being naive/thick …
