I feel like I’ve learnt so much about both JavaScript and CSS in the last week. Having these little wins is so motivating to keep working on the site.

I have made a crazy amount of progress on PokéPrint-related projects this week.

I finally found a JavaScript sorting algorithm that actually works. I was stuck on that for TWO YEARS.

It’s not perfect, but it works. Takes a second or two to load, but at least the page doesn’t crash anymore.

Absolutely crazy to wake up to really exciting Nintendo news two days in a row, outside of gaming news/awards season.
Zelda soundtrack yesterday, Animal Crossing update today. If I am dreaming, don’t wake me up.

Just ordered my copy! I’ve been wanting to get the Breath of the Wild soundtrack for ages, and this is the perfect excuse! Of course, I went for the 8 LP box set.

Love that they’re trying to gauge interest in physical soundtracks outside of Japan - even more of a reason to purchase immediately!

How long has nested CSS been a thing, and how am I only just discovering it now??

Just found out that the one new Pokémon form (excluding Megas) that is obtainable in Legends: Z-A cannot have your OT/Trainer ID. Disappointing, as I want my entire living dex to have my name as the OT. I’ll probably just leave it out now…

Not only did I get the pin set as a bonus for preordering the Switch 2 version, but the clerk also gave me the notebook, which was the preorder bonus for the Switch 1 version. I guess my local JB didn’t get many Switch 1 preorders. Works for me!

ALSO, I preordered from JB Hi-Fi this time because it had a much better preorder bonus than EB Games (JB had the three-pin set, whereas EB gave you one chosen at random).

And I picked Chikorita. I know it’s probably the weakest of the Z-A starters, but I have such a soft spot for Chikorita (it was my pick when I first played a Johto game). It probably sucks less in Kalos than it does in Johto, anyway.

Picked up the Switch 2 edition so I can experience the enhancements when I do upgrade to a Switch 2, but I am currently playing on a Switch OLED (this cartridge works on the original Switch). I’ll be working all weekend so I don’t expect to get much playtime in until Monday.

Hello, I posted a public update to PokéPrint for the first time in two-and-a-half-years.

Kinda just apologising for not updating in two-and-half-years.

But it’s something, at least.

I just ordered a replacement online, but it cost me almost $40 AUD (which is far too much money for a single pen, but I liked this pen way too much to not replace it).

When it arrives, I’m never taking it outside the house again.

I lost a pen at work this week.

Not just any pen, but a super cute two-colour Pikachu ballpoint pen that I picked up from a Pokémon Center while in Japan earlier this year.

Pretty sure it fell out of my shirt pocket on my lunch break on Monday. I know it’s just a pen, but I’m kinda devastated.

I’ll have to get a pic of all my Pika POPs once we’re settled in our new house and they’re all set up. If I’m remembering correctly, I think these bring me to twelve different Pikachu POPs (the others are packed safely in a box for now).

As long as I can transfer my Furfrou into Legends: Z-A to change their trims, then back into HOME, I’ll be okay with this (Gens 6 and 7 worked this way with Bank). Another site reported that once you transfer a Pokémon from HOME to Z-A, you can’t transfer it back; I hope that report was incorrect.

Pokémon Pokopia is already the best video game of all time. Every other video game can go home.

Finally finished the HTML table code for PokéPrint’s Scarlet and Violet Pokémon locations checklist. Now for the hard part - figuring out how to make it sortable without being extremely laggy.

I actually don’t like Funko POPs as a collectable much. I don’t really like how they look. I much prefer Nendoroids and other more detailed figures.
But I am a Pikachu fiend, and picked up three Pikachu POPs that I didn’t have yet.

I friend and I went to CollectFest (a collectables convention) in Sydney last weekend and I purchased a Funko POP (and two more since), and a couple of Pokémon cards. Send help.

Working on PokéPrint today (in-between house chores, packing, and other commitments). Progress is slow, but at least it’s something.
