30.10.2025 06:01 โ ๐ 4 ๐ 2 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I welcome this outcome but with great caution - Labor knows the community is watching and expect them to deliver. But now they must follow through on the resolution and actually deliver the funding.
We wonโt let up until they do - help us keep up the pressure to save cohealth.
An update on the community campaign to save cohealth: Victorian Parliament just voted in favour of a Greens motion to commit to an emergency funding package for cohealth.
29.10.2025 06:53 โ ๐ 4 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0This Friday there will be a special @criticalmassmelb.bsky.social, in memory of 19 year old Will Richter.
If you have a bike, scooter or skates, come along to show support to his family and community, and to show the state government we need protected bike lanes.
Protected bike lanes save lives.
Weโre over 4,000 signatures ๐ฅน
But if weโre going to get action on this weโll need everyone we can get! If you havenโt signed yet, or if your friends havenโt, the link is here: gabrielledevietri.org.au/issue/save-c...

23.10.2025 01:04 โ ๐ 9 ๐ 6 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Yeah it seems crazy to me how different the penalty is to parking fines etc. I asked staff a few days ago what we can do to prompt a change, but I suspect a community lead petition or email campaign could go a long way as well! Just seems like a (very unfair) glitch in the systemโฆ

Why? No one knows.
But they need to approve them. Now.

If you've got a mortgage of $570K, your bank will profit about $200K by the time you've paid it off.
Thatโs not normal.
Australia's big 4 banks are some of the richest worldwide, making $15.5 BILLION profit every 6mths.
We need to tax billionaire banks & fund housing, schools & renewables.
I see car brain is an international condition. You wouldnโt know it from the below post, but the it was the scooter rider who was killed, hit by a motorist. And other reports say the motorist was drunk and fled the scene

The Age did a good article on the report, but doesnโt seem to have looked at this weird gap between design ratings and โFSIโ stats.

Calling all data people! Pls help! ๐๐
AustRoads released their star ratings for road design last week. But some roads that have a high star rating for design for vehicle occupants have really terrible โfatal and serious injuryโ stats.
I want to know how often these depart, and where.
Fascinating study. Note that this is 1 in 10 adults. Factor in children and the percentage of non-driving Americans is much higher. Cities and towns need to account for their mobility needs too.
