I guess in La-Mulana areas take on multiple meanings. You get the sense of figuring out sth larger (map-wide puzzles, interpreting a language) &an overall logic that implies exploration is the point instead of a means to an end. Calling by its own genre (archeological ruins exploration?) is deserved

Maiden & Spell Extra stages, Rabbit & Steel, Granblue Relink give some examples. There's easily a dark side to this, on multiple relink bosses DPS check is the 'hardest' part of the fight (trivial to execute) which just makes the fight worse since you cant do the rest underleveled for more challenge

A-cho's staff via @chibax7jp on Twitter have confirmed that the "a-cho GAME" and "a-cho battle movie" channels will stay online, with ownership being transferred to the business that operated the arcade.

i know it's not like they can really be somewhere else, but to me there is always a sense of melancholy to seeing a candy cab in someone's basement. it doesn't belong there. it belongs to the people. it should be out there, somewhere, giving stupid children 8 seconds of super zaxxon for 100 yen

I think Hyperion was my fav boss in Returnal mainly because of it's narrow entrapment pattern with the thorns. The game is often just iframing through nondescript walls or bullet barf so those moments really stand out
