Fantastic downer j-rock. I've been hounding for a full length album from them for years and I can't believe its actually happening at the end of this year.

Absolute must-listen for any emo fans, with only one album they've managed to perfect the genre. Their music is driven by their fantastic sense for dynamics, being able to go from very subdued and melancholy to gigantic cathartic walls of guitars and group chants.
The Otals
My favorite shoegaze band. What sets them apart from the rest for me is how much they seem to make good melodies their number one priority. Also their art style is cute and wonderful! They're the only band I know of that's on bluesky so go give them a follow! @theotals.bsky.social
犬のやすらぎ (Inu no Yasuragi)
Super addictive power pop with some hints of midwest emo and pop-punk. So hungry for new music from them.
Subway Daydream
The friendliest music ever. Very influenced by 90s alt-rock and jangle pop, perfect stuff to listen to when you need something comfy and easy to listen to after a stressful day of work. I was listening to RIDE twice a day for like a month after it came out.
PK shampoo
It's always great to find a band that takes elements you love and combines them in a way that feels novel and fresh. Their sound is perfect j-pop melodies with unconventional song structures and some punk, noise pop, and shoegaze. Already one of my all-time favorite bands.
